A few weeks ago, uplifting trance industry leaders Aly & Fila debuted an ID that they deemed "might be" Ferry Corsten on their weekly Future Sound of Egypt radio show. Since then, I've been trolling the internet trying to find out more information on the track's true ID beyond its title "Origami" and its label Flashover Recordings.
With the track's release this week, the artist behind the uplifting magic on "Origami" was revealed to indeed not be Ferry Corsten, but Spanish producer Dimension. Hearkening back to the days of fast-BPM, simple and single melodic sounds that trance produced when it was the most popular sound in dance music, "Origami" blends trance's history in emotional progression with a contemporary uplifting energy.
