One of the great things about dance music is its propensity to showcase talent regardless of age, whether old or young. One such younger talent is 25 year-old Tassilo Vanhöfen of Frankfurt who, with an affinity for melodic tunes, Italo Disco Boogie, and 80s Synthesizer Mania, was randomly discovered over the Internet by the label Smile For A While a while back, and with less than 600 followers on Soundcloud, it is clear that he has room to grow. Now, with his 4th release on the label coming out at the end of the month, an EP has emerged from this long-term partnership, and with more releases like his Acrobatic EP, Tassilo Vanhöfen is sure to grow his following.
With “Acrobatic,” the title track, Tassilo Vanhöfen sets the mood with some crisp percussion and understated synth chords. The best part about the track is Tassilo Vanhöfen’s ability to bring certain elements in and out of the track so seamlessly, making for an incredible listening experience, and when the beat finally drops in, it becomes clear that this track was meant for the dance floor.
This is definitely one track and EP you do not want to miss. Pick up your copy when it drops on March 31st. Listen below for an EARMILK exclusive premiere of "Acrobatic."
