Mao Ra Sun and Lulu James take things slow on “I Won’t Take You Back”

U.K-based production duo Mao Ra Sun team up with sultry leading lady Lulu James for a second time on new track "I Won't Take You Back." The song is the low-key type of jam you'd expect to hear at a bar or restaurant but not quite on the dance floor, as Lulu James' sensual vocals soar over Mao Ra Sun's understated production as she sings, "I hope you're not a mistake, 'cause I won't take you back." Mao Ra Sun's production, inspired by Control-era Janet Jackson, builds intensity towards the end, matching the fervor of James' emotional singing. It's no surprise then to hear that James has been filling in for the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Jess Glynne as the vocalist on Gorgon City's U.S. tour, which continues this spring hitting Austin, Boston, Miami, LA, Coachella and more.
