DC-Based producer Eau Claire has been busy in the studio making new remixes and tracks for her forthcoming EP and we couldn't be happier to hear that news. The other day she released a dazzling new remix of Marvin Gaye's classic "How Sweet It Is" and to put it simply it's a very sweet remix (pun intended). It's always nice to hear what goes through the producers mind when choosing to what to remix remix, being that the internet is running wild with remixes and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
Eau Claire remarks, "Finding the right song to rework can be challenging nowadays with a plethora of producers so when I came across the the vocal sample for this I was surprised to find very few remixes of the track. It was a challenging sample to work with because of the sample quality and background claps which allowed me to focus more on production techniques. I started working on the track right around the time I played a show with Zimmer last month and we got to talk a little bit about production, technique, and about finding the right musical progression to captivate listeners. I'm a big fan of his work and found his advice very helpful with this production. My goal was to create a more contemporary sound without overpowering the emotion of the vocal sample that would make people smile and want to dance"
Well we agree we're also big fans of Zimmer and Eau Claire. What else can we say other than we can't wait to hear the full EP!
