I'm going to round up all of the new talent in Norway and throw a party, because these guys are throwing in some worthy productions. Today I have a premiere from a man in the mix, Simon Field. His new remix of SIA's "Elastic Heart" is a bit outside of my comfort zone, but it sticks with me well going into the weekend.
Field started 2015 swinging, releasing an official Erick Morillo remix on ULTRA. Just a few weeks ago he doubles up with track “Took My Love”, a collabo with Vegas based producer/DJ Esteban Carrasco. The Norwegian's style ranges from easy deep-house to more club beats on which the SIA remix draws on, turning the super ballad into a late night favorite. When asked about his recent roll of drops, he says, “I’ve had such a good flow in the studio lately, feeling that I am coming closer to something I can call my own sound. This has made it also way easier to define my live set as well.”
