In dance music, it is quite common for artists to expand and explore into other genres, which doesn’t always end so well. This is not the case for Los Angeles based producer Starkillers who, hot off of his underground dance floor collaboration with Dmitry KO, “Sriracha,” on Size, Starkillers has moved into new House territory for his latest release, “It’s Love (Trippin’),” out on Ultra Music tomorrow, February 27th. This is Starkillers own take on the 2002 House classic by Goldtrix featuring Andrea Brown, which was originally a cover of a Jill song.

Right from the beginning, it is clear that this is a more forceful take on the Goldtrix track, with a crisp, driving percussion setting the tone. Biting synth work adds to this tone and is the perfect backdrop to overlay Proud’s beautiful vocals. This all combines into one infectious House anthem.

This is definitely one track you won’t want to miss. Pick up a copy when it releases tomorrow, February 27th.
