2015 has already proven to be a powerful year for phenomenal rock bands that have pushed the boundaries of conventional rock melodies and blown our socks off. First Catfish And The Bottlemen wooed us all with their gritty unapologetic album in January and now Nashville based rockers COIN take the spotlight with their catchy and creative self-titled EP due out February 24th. The band just recently signed to StarTime International (Peter Bjorn and John and Foster The People) and is worked with Grammy nominated producer Jay Joyce (Cage The Elephant, Emmylou Harris) on their debut full length album due out June 9th. Their sound is a more rock an synth heavy Vampire Weekend mixed with the catchy pop rock song structure of Young The Giant and driving rock sound of Cage The Elephant Today we have the pleasure of streaming the infectious and powerful 3 song EP before it’s official release.

Their lead single “Run,” is an upbeat rock anthem with lively chord progressions and a pure tone that will ignite your soul and have you craving more. The following track “Fingers Crossed” is a danceable number with driving percussion that will have skanking away to every down beat like your life depends on it. The final track “Better,” is reminiscent of 80’s synth pop melodies mixed with the indie stylings of Phoenix that will have you feeling better with every measure. Following the release of the EP the group will be joining Passion Pit on the road for a few select dates as well as other shows in the future. Keep your finger on this band because they are surely on the fast track to the spotlight with their memorable and catchy indie rock recordings. Stream the EP below and be sure to grab a copy of it tomorrow when its officially released.
