lespecial roams a nuclear winterland in "Ransacked" [Video Premiere]

I'm going to start this off with a simple question, "Who doesn't love a good sandwich?" Well, the three members of dark future groove band lespecial love that delicious combination of meat, cheese and lettuce so much that they crossed a nuclear winter to steal one, make that an entire bag from beautiful women. Obviously there's more here than that, but I'm simplifying for the viewers who don't deal in mythical stories, dark magic or just plain weirdo-chic. It's like being in a nightmare, except that I don't really want to wake up and just continue offer the gods something delectable. Shot in upstate New York, the video is a collaboration between the trio, Brooklyn local bass artist Space Jesus and production group Knowledge Knights.

It's slightly reminiscent of the other music videos we've seen from the company stylistically, but less cinematic and more real life with the same dark images. The scenes of lespecial hanging on silos and roaming through the bitter cold cornfield are unexpected with the Ancient Eastern melody and organic beat. Space Jesus, who plays the God these sandwiches are offered to, flipped the original inside out for a harder, more bass-fused hit to finish the video out. Flashes of animal skulls and scenes of children with creepy smiles make it menacing, but even in nuclear winter there is enough in the music to warm up to.
