People should begin embracing the more relaxed side of dance music. I mean, this may be a utopian thought that only I and a few others have, but how can you not be drawn to the slow, intimate feeling of a build up, that leads into a gritty beat or an epic high note? My boy Crvvcks (pronounced "Crooks") shares the same idea in his new original tune "I Found".
The Leeds producer is careful with his releases. He takes his time, which is something I always try to suggest to musicians. Instead of jamming it down our throats, he perfects his artistry and makes us anticipate the next coming of greatness. "I Found" is a perfect follow up to the last track I covered "See You". It's not just digital production, it's soundscaping.
"I Found" sports a sample in which the vocals are high and elongated, laid upon a dreamy and ambient background. Then the track transitions into a piano laden drop with a high hat massacre, reminding me of a subtle disco. I picture a basement dance party that begins slow and ends with patrons on the ceiling.
