Nightriders, a Boston based house and nu-disco duo consisting of Matt Johnson and Joe Faria have been making waves since their inception in 2004 after a chance meeting at a club. The group went on hiatus in 2011 but reemerged with We Were All Alone on KID Recordings in 2014 and next Tuesday, February 17th Nightriders is back with their newest EP, Until We Are Together. The five track EP has something for everyone, with touches of house, indie, and nu-disco and taking influences from artists like Kevin Saunderson. The result is a purposely slower, melodic, and soulful EP that feels right at home, whether its in a lounge or out on the dance floor.

“Demand You,” the third track off the EP takes influence from Detroit techno powerhouse Inner City. Nightriders sets the tone for the track with its crisp percussion and undeniable groove, while beautiful synth melodies provide the perfect backdrop to overlay the soulful vocals. The result is a beautiful departure into nu-disco and a fantastic addition to the EP.

This is one EP you won’t want to miss. Pick up a copy when it drops February 17th on KID Recordings.
