Remember that mind-boggling, digitally fuzzy project I shared not too far back by the name of Corrupt Files? Well the curators of that EP, SKULS, are not so hesitant to jump into 2015 with a statement. Their new edit of Baauer's "One Touch" shows the crew can jump from shocking originals, to elevating originals, into great remixes. I need a power up this week, and these producers have exactly my fix.
They topped Hypem with their remix of Childish Gambino's "3005" and got the tables turning with their debut titled EP, but it seems like the bay area musicians are looking to continue their buzz. They're quick with their fingers, and it really shows as the synth glides along "One Touch" in a undeniably positive manner. AlunaGeorge's lyrics are a bit faster and higher, but the boys keep it tight within the production, even with their multiple moving components. It's digital artistry at its finest.
