I'm honest, I'll make mistakes and I'll be the first one to admit it: I've been sleeping on Little Simz. But when the love for the English artist is unanimous amongst everyone at EARMILK, I knew I'd couldn't skip over her work. Thankfully, I've been hooked be her sound upon the first listen and I'm convinced that she could rap with the best of them. Rapping over Skepta's "It Ain't Safe," Simz delivers a fluid, free flowing series of bars that proves her creative nature on the mic. She also throws no weak punches, speaking her mind through her mixture of catchy punchlines and witty versatility. According to the female rhymer, she's in a great place right now with the release of her video for "Intervention" and her debut album being nearly complete. Give the freestyle down below and check it out–I'll spend the weekend going through her catalogue before her next project drops.
