On first listen of Maryland songstress Hannah Gill you would think she had decades worth of heartbreak and experience under her belt. However much to our surprise, this warm and mature sound is being created by a 17-year-old and with force. Hannah has a robust, large and compelling vocal tone on par with great female singers like Florence Welch of Florence & The Machine, Lana Del Rey and Adele. Those are some huge names to put up next to this newcomer but her talents and ability to wail on the mic back the claim.
Last week Hannah released her EP I Feel Awake and gave us a diverse sampling of styles of jazz, pop, soul, and contemporary music that is emblazoned with passion and bustling with emotion.
