Meet Heyrocco, the trio from Charleston, South Carolina, and your past self’s new favorite band. Their sound is indicative of the pop-punk and grunge rock sound that took radio waves by storm in the early 2000’s. On first listen you would think they were a supporting act for a US tour with Weezer, The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys, and dammit if isn’t refreshing to hear a style you resonated with so much when times were simpler.

Their latest single “Elsewhere” is a grunge-rock track with pop punk sensibilities and unapologetic guitar riffs. It is accompanied with a music video that looks straight out of the era they transported from. Fluorescent oversaturated colors tinge the bands standalone performance. It is simplistic and a perfect pairing for their overall aesthetic of the song. This is a blast from the past that has us rocking and fending to feature it on our Myspace profile. Elsewhere is a single off their forthcoming album Teenage Movie Soundtrack due out later this year.
