Today the Houston based ten-piece group The Suffers dropped their Make Some Room EP. This soulful super-group of diverse musicians was formed back in 2011 by bassist Adam Castaneda and keyboardist Pat Kelly. Since the foundation of the band, the group has performed coveted spots at events like Voodoo Festival, SXSW, and Houston’s Free Press Summer Fest. They have received multiple prestigious awards and have received recognition from top outlets like SPIN and BuzzFeed… all without releasing a single record.
In the wake of the highly anticipated record release, EARMILK has teamed up with the Suffers to offer an exclusive download for 48 hours of their single “Stay.” The sound on this song is a blend of the big-band sound of Sharon Jones and the Dapp Kings mixed with the smoky vocal prowess of Pattie Labelle all packaged together with the care-free flutter of a Norah Jones’ production.
