Every time I get wind that a new TORN piece is ready for release, I get a bit restless with anticipation. They've got this funky sound that many have tried to produce yet simply fell short. I don't know about you, but they've got the weight, the sound, and the aesthetics (those shades of blue, tho!) needed to pull me in. This time, "Night Hawk" did it nearly flawlessly.
Though the hook melody could use a bit of work, the overall performance of the song is top notch. Excellent use of space and short glitch risers. You may also catch hints of e-guitars and mellow rhodes to the tune of Mord Fustang and Wolfgang Gartner. Overall, TORN is shaping up to be a great act that we're excited to see take their game to the next level.
