Dust on the Radio creates a musical Kodak moment with "The Camera Loves You" [Exclusive + Premiere]

LA-based five-piece Dust on the Radio forces us to finally tuck away the Michael Bublé and beckon the New Year in with their forthcoming single “The Camera Loves You.”

The track opens like a crash – reminiscent of nineties alt-rock (Dashboard Confesstional, Mae, Something Corporate) and a time when a jumble of chords and keys and cymbals was the only way to enter the scene. With a Talking Heads cadence, and simple lyrics and a leveled delivery a la The National, it’s like “Auld Lang Syne" 2.0, a nod to a post-punk era, with a modernized sonic-synth resolution.

The track is off their newest EP Halfway to the Stars that was produced by Ethan Allen of Gram Rabbit and Black Rebel Motorcycle acclaim and will be available January 20. Stream your new anthem of 2015 (and because the camera loves you – maybe snap a few selfies while you're at it) and then visit DOTR’s socials, below.
