J57 doesn't take any breaks. His dedication to the craft alongside his Brown Bag AllStars crew and his solo work as a rapper and producer proves that he's got the work ethic to make it to the top. After releasing the visuals for "Sound Familiar" alongside Deejay Element and Koncept a few days ago, the Long Island turned Brooklyn hip hop phenom is back at it. Remixing one of the hottest cuts from DJ-JS 1's latest compilation project, his take on the Murs, Fashawn and Akie Bermiss supported "Whatever It Takes" veers from the traditional hip hop sound into a strange and exciting new territory.

If you've been sleeping on both Murs and Fashawn (the latter of which is "one of the most underrated acts in the game" as said by Nas when he signed him to Mass Appeal) know that they come bearing bars for days: the underground spitter reflecting on his past and the young up and comer on what's to come. DJ JS-1's It Is What It Isn't is out now on iTunes, so go and cop one of the best compilation projects of the year today.
