Zoo Station packs punch into remix of Mike Mago and Dragonette's "Outlines"

Mike Mago and Dragonette's "Outlines" hit hard this summer.  The house-pop gem combining up-and-coming Dutch producer with indie pop royalty dropped in July and quickly racked up close to a million listens on SoundCloud before being released by Spinnin' Records in August.  And now we've got remixes, the strongest coming from London-based production team Zoo Station.

Zoo Station turns up Mago and Dragonette's track while keeping it's structure largely intact.  Both versions maintain a steady, club-ready beat, but where Mago dances around Dragonette's vocals with light synth riffs, Zoo Station gets more aggressive, matching the force of Martina Sorbara's voice with almost abrasive synth work that previews Mago's infectious choral melody.  Then, Zoo Station blows that melody out, building harder in the bridge, extending drops and choruses, and adding in deep samples of Sorbara's sharp soprano.  In short, Zoo Station turns down Mago and Dragonette's pop sensibilities, while amplifying their track's dance floor punch.  The result is definitely worth a listen.
