Heading into the final part of this year, Dutch producer Rogier de Kreuk, aka Rodg, can do no wrong. Rodg released his trance remix of Beyoncé’s “Haunted” and his own single “Hot Merchandise” that got glowing reviews for their versatility in production. This week, he keeps up his insane pace of production with the release of the chill out track “Perfect Night,” out now on Armada Chill.
Right from the beginning, Rodg infuses his signature relaxed sound into every aspect of the track. A driving, yet somehow still chill beat anchors the track from below, allowing the stunningly beautiful piano chords to take center stage with their richness. While Rodg expertly weaves reverbed synths in and out of the track he manages to minimize intensity that only amplifies beauty. If this is a “Perfect Night,” sign me up.
