The Kite String Tangle follows up on big year with “Stone Cold”

The Kite String Tangle aka Danny Harley finished off 2013 with a bang, or more accurately with his hit single "Given the Chance" and his touching rendition of Lorde's "Tennis Court." Then, the Brisbane-based artist and producer teamed up with Adventure Club on 2014's "Wonder." After garnering mild success with the saccharine "Arcadia" in August, TKST is coming in hot again with his new single, "Stone Cold," a duet featuring promising Aussie vocalist Tiana Khasi.

Harley shows off his production skills early in the track, as atmospherics, haunting vocal samples and a down tempo beat lead into his first verse. His repentent lover meets Khasi at the chorus, where she doesn't buy what he's selling, singing, "One thing that I have regret, believing the lies you fed me, I let you in my head, listened to what you said." The plot unfolds further with more miscommunication over a Tourist-esque composition, full of light percussions but anguished emotion. "Stone Cold" appears on TKST's Arcadia EP, out now on Harley's independent.
