Trap, trap, trap. Nothing like some warm 808 to escort us into the holiday season. Lucky for us, Perth based duo Slumberjack is behind the graciousness. Back in the summertime I premiered the first couple tracks these boys released, one was an edit of What So Not, and the other was a track dubbed "Felon" which is included on this stellar debut EP.
The project is long in the making, in fact the composition happened almost a year before the songs were released. The duo went on to say in an interview with Eavesdrop, "in the last couple of months completely reworked it all to the point that the tracks were completely unrecognizable from their original form. It was a big call to make but we wanted to incorporate all the new production techniques we’d picked up over the year."
The four song track list varies in style across the board, but the guys truly do know how to mold an original sound within the trap realm. Take a listen to 3/4 of their debut EP below, and purchase the Onelove Records release here:
