When LA's Sin Marlee first came to my attention earlier this year when he released the incredibly dope "Twenty Four", it was plain to see why fellow Los Angeles based label 6J Recordings had snapped him up onto their books, as his flow and demeanour were that of a seasoned vet.
A couple of strong single releases have since followed, and now we've been treated to a full length project from the Los Angeles native, in the shape of Red Cotton. Sitting at 11 tracks deep, this is a project that's taken time and dedication to put together, masterfully crafted by Sin and the 6J team. Featuring a whole bunch of new tracks, this LP serves as the perfect platform for Marlee to showcase his abilities, from the darker tracks like "Blakkk Gold" to the brighter laid back joints such as "Not Enough", Sin completely tears through each beat presented to him, delivering that signature West Coast swagger at every juncture. With no additional features on this project, it's just eleven tracks of pure Marlee dopeness, the perfect introduction for anyone new to this dude, and even more good content from fans of Sin already!
