UK based duo Disclosure just dropped a collaboration with the recognized "Queen of R&B" Mary J. Blige today, co-written by Jimmy Napes. It debuted on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show just hours ago and already looks to be earphones gold. The siblings seem to be heating up the studio a lot recently and have produced several of the tracks on her upcoming album The London Sessions due out early next week. It's a soulful single that will go straight to the club and make a smash on the dance floor.
The track is in essence a pulse that coaxes the listener to follow someone so as not to end up alone, with that classic MJB attitude that she is famous for. Collaborating with a newer age electronic duo such as Disclosure was a good way for the Queen to prove that she is anything but irrelevant in the currently industry climate and continues to be on trend. Realistically, EDM is the new kid on block -who has taken over the business- but a good dose of gritty R&B vocals and a little disco touch never hurts.
