Kompakt Records has been an EARMILK favorite for a while now, and whenever we hear that something new is coming out, we get more than a little bit excited. John Tejada is getting ready to release a LP on February 2 of next year, but he's already got a track out that we're pretty excited to post up on our site.
"Y 0 Why" is smooth, eclectic, and an ode to the veteran producer's ties to the old days of dance and electronic music. With a subtle style, the Los Angeles producer has definite throwbacks to the old school Detroit scene, and it's amazing to think that in the days of in your face electronic music, LA still has a thriving art world that hinges on subtlety.
