14KT is a long time producer that began as a part of Athletic Mic League who started working on solo projects in 2008, and eventually became one half of the amazing duo Jaded Inc., with Mayer Hawthorne a couple months back. His latest work as part of the duo has had influences of Michigan written all over it, and what resulted was some serious heat from the two artists that can't be forgotten any time soon.
Since their debut LP, 14KT has been a little quiet, but it turns out he's been keeping himself ready. Today will see the first release he's had since his album as Jaded Inc, and it's pretty freaking cool.
"BlackAPhonic" goes full on Detroit techno, with energy bursting in its synth-work, and it's drums racing against every listener's heart. It's intense, addicting, and an ode to true electronic music that doesn't rely on today's tricks to get people instantly hooked.

On the heels of the Jaded Incorporated sound, this was inspired by Detroit Techno, Ghettotech, Dirt Tech Reck, James Brown and other amazing, creative, and dynamic Black artists who have been in the influence of every genre of music.
