Finnebassen gives us some "Homework" we will actually enjoy

In 2012, Norwegian house mastermind Finnebassen burst onto the dance scene with “If You Only Knew” and “Touching Me,” gaining support from likes of Pete Tong and Hot Since 82. Now, Finnebassen returns with “Homework,” a nine-minute track worthy of study.

With the intro, Finnebassen sets the theme of growing that permeates the entire track. After more than two minutes, when the beat finally drops in, it is apparent that “Homework” is not just another dance track, but instead it is an ethereal experience, ready to transport the listener to another plane. A driving, yet soft beat keeps the track moving while Finnebassen showcases a stunning melody with some emotive pad work. The buildup thorough the track is palpable and lends to feeling of musical transport along this journey. This is definitely a track deserving of more study and definitely another listen.
