Attaque’s “Future Earth” is an interesting song to follow from the beginning to the end. It is unconventionally dynamic and original. Off-the-beaten-path styled vocals from Native Young fit the style of the track in such an intriguing way that it’s unlike most songs you’ve probably heard for a while. The background hymns soften the mood and give it a balanced ethereal quality that really pushes the track to the next level.
Attaque’s debut album ON LY OU is out October 27th and marks a huge career shift for South Africa’s Dominic Gentry. While continuing to mix in electronic elements, Dominic’s new album marks his changing things up from his high energy dance inspired DJ background for well-rounded multilevel tracks that feature a more calm and tranquil energy. The kind of songs you get lost in the moment to versus getting lost on the dance floor to. Although this is new territory, it’s clear to see Attaque is carrying his well-developed musical skills with him on this new venture.
