Fresh off the press this week comes a brand new EP from Les Professionnels, a group that grew up in Philly but currently reside on the west coast in LA. The release package features some fantastic artists that we've been following for a while now, and it's great that RIS Labs were able to put together such a well-curated release.
The package features a Les Profs original in the form of a radio edit, and is followed by remixes from Aimes, The Dead Rose Music Company, and Superprince. The original is a great indie dance number, highlighted by the addicting vocal work and that awesome, almost nu-disco synth work. We'd imagine that it was a great piece to work with for the remixers.
Aimes' remix is one step deeper from the start. That bouncy, ever so groovy bassline is made for the club. The vocals are less present than the original, but it really works, and works well. The Dead Rose Music Company went for more atmospheric vibes on their remix. High chime work and several sporadic breakdowns really put an original vibe to the remix, and it stands out. They also put out a dub edit, which you can find on Beatport.
And finally, we have the Superprince remix. Superprince brought out the low end spectacularly, with a hard-hitting deep house edit that would be huge late night on the dancefloor. Speeding up the vocals worked very much in Superprince's favour, and we were blown away by their work here.
At the end of the day, all of the remixes stand out in their own right, which is all you can ask for from a remix package. Original takes on a great original! Enjoy streaming the tracks below, and make sure to support the remix package by going over to Beatport and buying it.
