Flow-Fi artists have been buzzing this summer, and this time we have Vancouver-based producer Ekali out with a salacious, trap remix of Eli Muro’s “Orphan’s Son.” This is quite heavier than Ekali’s usual stuff, but he clearly demonstrates his versatile abilities. Ekali transforms Eli’s tune into a low-end killer, full of bass groans and snare rips. When you hear that chuckle, just brace yourself. I love this kind of future trap/bass remix because this sound enslaves and enamors your body, in the best, dirtiest kind of way, if you know what I mean. Turn this up at the next kickback or bump this the next time you go on a late-night cruise. “Orphan’s Son” is coming out on Eli Muro’s Dreamtime Hunter EP this Tuesday. Also, keep Ekali close on your radar, as he will be joining Red Bull Music Academy 2014 in Tokyo this fall.
