Where and how do I even begin??? So, LA's Soulection just dropped a compilation in collaboration with hot streetwear brand Stussy. I’m at a loss for words because my mind, body, and soul are overwhelmed with good vibes right now. For those of us that enjoy Soulection, we've come to see the group as more than a label, it’s a music platform, a radio show…Soulection is a culture, and the team behind it is a family. Trademarked as “The Sound of Tomorrow,” Soulection has been killing the game and continues to push the envelope. What caught my attention from the start, and has turned me into a loyal supporter, is the way they are helping to redefine the reputation of electronic music. If you are not an avid Soundcloud explorer, you can have a narrow perception of electronic music confined to bangers and generic EDM. Soulection will open the door to a world where electronic-based music and soul-based music are one and the same.

Now, this Stussy x Soulection project consists of 20 thoughtfully curated tracks, from its veterans like Mr. Carmack, Esta, Ta-Ku and Sango to introducing newer artists like Sam Gellaitry, Jay Prince, PYRMDPLAZA and Jarreau Vandal. The compilation starts on a sweet reggae note from Zikomo and is tied up by some soft, melodic drums and howling synths by AbJo. In between, we have everything from phenomenal and mesmeric Evil Needle beats to chillin rap vibes from Goldlink and Jay Prince to an infectious and bouncy tune from Mikos Da Gawd. There you have it ladies and gentlemen, this is how you make good music and this is the definition of good vibes. Support these talented and passionate artists and download this unbelievable compilation here.

If you’re in Los Angeles, roll through the Stussy La Brea store between 6-8pm and onto The Echoplex for the afterparty with special guests you won't want to miss (Get tickets here).
