As the leaves change colour and back to school shopping goes into full swing, we're reminded that summer is over. The seemingly never ending parties, the cross country road trips and carefree opportunities might be in the rearview, but that doesn't mean we should act gloomy in the months to come. Detroit's William Bolton may also feel for that same loss of summer sting, but his latest project, Summer Breeze, is a tribute to all the fun times of the past few months.
Breeze has Bolton guiding us through the ups and downs of the best months through the year. With 11 tracks that mix together elements of soul and hip hop to give us that laidback feeling, it's not that crazy to draw comparisons between him and some of his influences, such as Mayer Hawthorne and the late J Dilla. And while the whole album is great from start to finish, there are some personal highlights: the title track with its addictive chorus; "Fool For You" with its delicate piano vibes; and "When The Sun Goes Down" for its late night, driving music appeal. Will is currently offering the album as a free download, so don't hesitate and pick this one up today.
