Whenever I see a new joint from the legendary DJ Premier, I'll drop everything to check it out, especially if the homie Diabolic delivers the bars. If you've been sleeping on the Long Island spitter, then you should know that he has a history of rocking the underground scene. While 2010's Liar & a Thief caught the attention of some heads, his upcoming album, Fighin Words, is poised to be a smash hit with support from Sean Price, R.A The Rugged Man, Apathy and a bunch more. Giving us a taste of what the album will sound like, "Diabolical Sounds" has Preemo and Diabolical in their wheelhouses: the former laying the foundation with some raw production, while the latter comes through with a punchline heavy, brooding set of rhymes that'll make you wish the album dropped today.

What I really dig about "Diabolic Sounds" is the rapper's intent with the record; he's the type of guy who embarrass you on the mic and doesn't have to resort to throwing money around and waving guns in order to get his message across. Fightin Words is set for a September 16th release date, so check it out when that day arrives.
