EARMILK: How has the recent impact of Hard Time's success been?
Seinabo Sey: Absolutely amazing and unexpected. One can only dream of the kind of response I've been blessed with.
EM: The video is amazing – what was it like to make the video?
SS: I really loved working with the director Casper Balsev as well as my team over at Universal with really twisting and turning all kinds of creative ideas. We wanted to go for a more surreal look this time around and I'm really glad it turned out the way it did.
EM: What do you have in store this summer?
SS: This summer I'll be busy finalizing my album as well as touring around Europe.
EM: What has been the most surreal moment of your career so far?
SS: Shooting the "Hard Time" video was a lot of fun. They had all kinds of animals brought on set and the actual house we filmed in was amazing.
EM: Who would be your dream producer to work with? Dream vocalist?
SS: When it comes to producers – I'm set. I couldn't dream of a better producer right now than Magnus Lidehäll. He's an absolute genius and his outlook on pop music is totally innovative and fresh. As far as vocalists a dream of mine would be to sing with Cee-lo or Erykah Badu.
EM: What is something your fans might not know about you, but would love to know?
SS: I'm a total Beyonce nerd. I know everything.
EM: Top 3 favorite albums of all time?
SS: That´s really hard, but off the top of my head i´d say the albums that have meant the most in my life are:
D'angelo – Voodoo
Lauryn Hill – The Misseducation of Lauryn Hill
Mos Def – New Danger
EM: What are some tracks that you can't stop listening to right now?
SS: Anything by Sam Smith
EM: Most embarrassing performance moment?
SS: I fell flat on my face in front of around 10,000 people at a festival named "Putte i Parken" in Sweden last year whilst touring with a group named "Maskinen" — that was pretty bad.
EM: Who is your favorite celeb (man & woman)? Favorite celeb kids? :)
SS: Beyonce & Blue – all day everyday haha
EM: Where do you find your inspiration for your personal style?
SS: Lately Erykah Badu is def holding it down, love the way she mixes her really funky hiphop vibe with couture pieces.
EM: Any exciting news and things you want the world to know about!?
SS: Just heard that "Younger" is 4xPlatinum in Norway! Heja Norge!
