It's been a while since my homie RAMBO V has spun anything my way. I believe the first one I shared was his saucy remix of Marlena Shaw's "California Soul," which took the whole site by storm. When friends are good, life is good.
Today RAMBO has a new edit of Colour Vision's "Sur Chic" that definitely puts your brain in a bit of a traffic jam. I love the vocal distortion whirling in and out of kicks and snares, allowing for V's true talent to shine through like a brand new gold Rolex. I'm stoked to see that he has set a release date for the jam on August 21 via Salon Acapulco's Mix Le Fun.
Obviously the mellower side of electronic has broken the seal, paving a way for the deep house revolution that started in Europe a while back. We've seen multiple genres pass through this, including the ever so popular tropical house. However, RAMBO V boosts up the moombah guns and fires a shot so groovy it puts holes in your dancing shoes. Wow.
