G FrSH has teamed up with producer Star.One for a bass-driven, hip hop track. "Mystify", the 4th track to be released from G Frsh’s highly anticipated EP, Alfie, is a prime example of the vast span of genres featured in the body of work. It cleverly blurs the line between deep house, soul and hip hop; this innovative style is being commercially established by the likes of Vic Mensa and I'm sure we'll start hearing more of it.
With production from Star.One, Sonny Reeves and Nana Rogues and featuring silky smooth vocals from Zimbabwe-born Thabo, the tune builds and rises with a future RnB beat and floating trumpet. Built from a simple idea, and added to by the featuring producers as well as G himself, it is the perfect representation of how Alfie marks the progression that G Frsh has made from Legoman and Legoman II.
