Labels have continued to diversify their repertoire, as evidenced by the growing trends in deep and tropical house that have expanded on some of the biggest imprints. This evolution has opened the floor to a myriad of new artists, and though there's always the chance of overcompensation, diamonds in the rough abound. Mike Mago strikes me as one of these gems, a talented Dutch artist who also heads Bmkltsch Rcrds while simultaneously releasing a multitude of deeper tracks for fans to enjoy. Just two months ago he supplied a fantastic remix of Tiesto and Matthew Koma's chart-topping track, "Wasted", but has resurfaced today with an exceptional original. Featuring Dragonette's endearing vocals, "Outlines" boasts rounded melodies, modded hi hat, and did we say Dragonette already? It's due out August 15th via Spinnin' Records, and is what we call pretty perfect.
