The Philly duo Drull came forward this week with a new track called "Insecure" featuring Fat Tony, Akhil Sesh, and Trpl Blk of Danny Brown's Bruiser Brigade. Seeing as this is a bit peculiar for the normally light winded group, the two issued this statement in their press release:

In order to develop a follow up single for Drull's "Persona" we wanted to show our versatility and develop a strong hip hop track with some artists whose work was really making an impact in the hip hop scene. We approached Trpl Blk who after laying his verse helped book the other two features on the track. This is also Akhil Sesh's debut with the management company we own, Thrift Soul:

Makes sense. And by golly it sounds incredible. I'm all for the slightly psychedelic hip-hop trends we're starting to see pop up more and more, and these guys put a natural balance into it, accompanied by some stellar verses from worthy underground talent.

Thrift Soul is a musical collective and management agency created by half of Drull, Elijah Amant and DIE HIGH Records rep Dylan Rehmer. There's no doubt in my mind that their combo packs a one-two punch that will land them some great success in the industry.

Take a listen to "Insecure" now and prep for the music video release in a couple of weeks.
