Jean-Sébastien Vermalle is a French illustrator, music producer and DJ. He has developed an entire narrative, graphic and musical universe around one specific character: Janski Beeeats, a Mutafukaz-like electro hero who only fights with his keytar, his stupid smile and his songs.
He won the title of "Best Electro Newcomer" at the Printemps de Bourges (an important French festival) in 2010, and evolve since then, producing a lot, with each new track crazier than the past ones. He released a few EP on Police Records, was even remixed by Krazy Baldhead from Ed Banger Records and is back now with a brand new EP, The Beeeast.
It's not as club oriented than what I usually post here but it really makes you travel in the heart of his universe with 4 very different tracks that really complete each others. Techno beats, oriental melodies bringing you to the gates of India, heavily vocoded vocals, frenzy electro basses – it has all the ingredient you need for an awesome musical journey.
