It seems a bit of an odd combination, one of the most popular DJ pairings in the world and one of the most exciting rappers to emerge from the East Coast in recent years, but somehow it really does work. Both Bodega Bamz and The Martinez Brothers hail from the Bronx, New York, and both, according to Bamz, had the same kind of upbringing. Whilst the trio were only meant to be working together on a couple of songs, they hit it off straight from the get go, and thus the Sunday Service EP was born.

Originally scheduled to drop last week, but pushed back due to reasons out of the trio's control, we've finally been treated to the entire project, well, at least a stream. Whilst we can't download the mixtape just yet, the stream provides us with the chance to fully digest what exactly they have conjured up. Standing at sixteen tracks deep, Sunday Service shows how versatile Bodega Bamz is, with some real gritty raps, on top of some heavy, bumpin' beats and the odd sample thrown in for good measure. Personal highlights include the soulfully sampled "Barry White Owl", the Raekwon-blessed "Fuck This Shit" and "Going to DR", all of which had me nodding my head in appreciation, and heightening my anticipation for the download date!

You can stream the Sunday Service EP below, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for all the latest from Bamz and The Martinez Bros, including the actual release date of this project.
