It's been a few months since we heard anything from 2013's breakout producer Cyril Hahn. Taking the world by storm with his infamous remixes, Hahn moved into crafting his own originals late in the year, revealing his debut single "Perfect Form" last September. With high expectations for the raising star, the Swiss producer was signed to PMR, who fronts names like Jessie Ware, Disclosure and Julio Bashmore to name a few. Since then Hahn has settled back into the studio in Vancouver, where he had three semesters left of university classes when we caught him for an interview last August.
Almost a year and half ago, Hahn jumped on Jessie Ware's "Sweet Talk" for one of his first official PMR remixes and today he unveils another. Turning up the BPMs this time around on "Tough Love," Hahn creates a muffled bassline that echoes off Ware's soulful vocals with ease. Transforming "Tough Love" from a breathy pop ballad into a bubbly house beat, Hahn incorporates just enough hi hats and bass plugs to give the track some R&B soul which makes you move.
