Think you've "Seen It All?" Hear what Jeezy and Jay Z have to say about that life

Jeezy ain't what he used to be. Sure, he's been keeping busy with tracks like the Vine favourite "My Nigga," but there was a distinct moment in time when he had the streets on lockdown. Wherever you went, you couldn't escape the bass heavy, rumbling sounds of The Recession that seeped through the system of every whip on the road. But the way that things are shaping up for him these days could change everything. With last month's Drumma Boy produced "Me OK" and now the Jay Z assisted "Seen It All," it wouldn't be too farfetched if Jeezy made another project with the same appeal as the 2008 banger.

      Seen-It-All-(feat.-JAY-Z)--EM0714

Even though I'm more of a Freddie Gibbs type guy, I gotta give credit where it's due. This is the nicest song Jeezy's been on in a minute, and it shows with his lyrical prowess. And while he definitely puts on for his city, Hov is the real star of this track. Weaving stories of his dedication to the block, his drug dealing and rapping rise to fame and his involvement with a particular basketball team ("Now the Nets a stone throw from where I used to throw bricks/ So it's only right I'm still tossing 'round Knicks") this is the Jay that we wanted to see more of on Magna Carta Holy Grail ("Seen It All" is rumoured to have originally appeared on the album, but got cut last minute.) And let's take a moment to give props to Cardo for crafting this angelic beat that creates a nice juxtaposition between the saintlike instrumental and the crimes that these two are rapping about. If you're feeling this one, pick it up on iTunes and make sure you stay up to date on Jeezy's 5th studio album of the same name which drops on September 2nd.
