We've heard a lot over the last few months about Simian Mobile Disco's ground-breaking new album, Whorl, recorded during a handful of dry desert nights last April in Southern California. The work saw James Ford and Jas Shaw strip their resources to the bare minimum and create a 12-track release using only a few tools of the trade and their boundless imagination. "Tangents" drops as the first single from Whorl, a whimsical trip that slowly progresses through bass and synth, bringing a listener inside the genius of James and Jas. Pre-order the album now, and catch SMD on their U.S. tour, which starts September 18th in Washington D.C. and finishes on the 27th in San Francisco.
