A series of remixes has come for The Jaydes’ “Tears & Fears,” turning the original’s breathy suspension into various forms from minimal to atmospheric and meandering. In the case of Berlin-based Parisian David K, the track makes nods to minimal tech with its clean-pressed, muscular drum loops, though also takes on tabs of inflamed flare. Notably, a murky vocal gutters throughout, and the track slides into a groggy mid-song suspension, warps like steam, then brings the bassline back in with an even harder hit.
'Tears & Fears' remixes drops June 30 via Bloody Mary's (one half of The Jaydes) Dame Music.
