The legendary Nile Rodgers continues to prove he isn't ready to put his production skills to rest. Putting himself back in the spotlight last year with his collaborative effort "Get Lucky," alongside fellow legends Daft Punk, Rodgers seems to have only gotten started on his climb back to the top. At 61 years young, Rodgers has tickled the ear of our parents with his former disco group CHIC, and now he is at the forefront of the resurgence of the glittering genre.
Late last year, he reveal an anthem made specifically for the International Music Summit in Ibizia, giving the quickly rising Eats Everything the first club rework. Out on the independent house imprint CR2 Records, "Do What You Want To Do" was a highly anticipated bumping house production, leaving a line of talented producers salivating at the idea of another remix. Now a flurry of new official revamps have been released and a favorite comes courtesy of the world traveling disco-tinted Moon Boots.
Toning down the dark bass plugs, Moon Boots replaces the bumps with some cascading hi hats, transforming the track into an uplifting house output. Putting his signature disco-influence sound on "Do What You Want To Do," Moon Boots delivers an entirely new take on an already banging production. Taking listeners high above the clouds to the sunny side of house, this remix is another happy outing from the growing producer.
