Due for release on June 23, 2014, Croquet Club's three-track EP is a must-listen for fans of chilled out electronica. Paris based producer/DJ Jeremy Villecourt, a.k.a. Croquet Club, released his debut effort "Awake/Cardigan" on Anjunadeep 05 at the end of last year. It immediately gained attention for his laid back, synth-y brand of deep house.
Exclusively released on Anjunadeep, Croquet Club's Jacuzzi EP is musically innovative and maintains a chill-house, French-chic vibe reminiscent of artists such as Bonobo and Air—to whom he has been likened.
"Jacuzzi", the lead track, has an energetic build up from its slo-mo beginning, while "Rush", the EP's second inclusion, is melodically infectious. Although all three tracks are worth the addition to your music library, the standout is "Breath". Its beautiful vocals are layered with light synth and delicate percussion, the result being airy yet danceable.
