Mainland has released a perfect ode to summer: the video for their single "Leave The Lights On." The video shows the Brooklyn-based band skateboarding through the city having fun at the expense of unsuspecting new yorkers. Appearing like it was shot with my father's oversized video camera from the 90's, it's got a cool retro vibe. I love the simple effective concept of this video.
"Leave The Lights On" is the first single off of the bands Shiner EP, which is currently available. Mainland will be playing the TBD Fest with acts YACHT, Explosions in the Sky, and The War On Drugs in Sacramento, California in the fall. They will also be playing New York City's Bowery Ballroom June 23. If you're looking for some good live music to check out, peep Mainland if you have the chance.
