Spooky Black and Bobby Raps are not "Alone", in atmospheric new slow jam

When I first stumbled upon the video for Spooky Black's "Without You", I was quite taken aback by what I saw. The durag wearing white kid lay on the bed, didn't match the voice that was coming out of my speakers, well, at least that's what I thought. With immediate first impressions aside, I was stunned by the voice I was hearing, arguably one of the smoothest I've heard in a good few months. It fitted so well with the down tempo, atmospheric beat that was bumpin' in the background. I immediately jumped over to Spooky's bandcamp and picked up his Black Silk project, and album I highly recommend if you can find it (it's been taken down from his Bandcamp unfortunately).

Well, since then we've been treated to a couple of new Spooky Black tracks, including the short but sweet "Interlude", and a couple of joints with fellow St Paul native Bobby Raps "Motionless" and "Blind" (with the latter being taken from Pysmun's Pink Label album). Well, this week we were gifted with another joint from the Minnesota pair, with the ambiently beautiful "Alone". Spooky brings his trademark, eerily delicate vocals and spreads them all across the track, with the depressingly brilliant lyrical content that has been such a strong feature of his work up to this point, making an ever so welcome return. Bobby Raps shows that he's not one to be outdone, and adds a impeccable verse, with both his flow and lyrical prowess on point. Bobby himself was on the boards for this one, delivering a really deep, slick instrumental, with some warm deep end complimented by harrowing synth sounds layered on top.

You can stream the dope collab "Alone" above, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears locked onto EARMILK for the latest music to come from both Spooky and Bobby.
