Nikko Lafre just dropped the full version of his new track “Ridin’”, which unofficially surfaced earlier in the week. This updated effort sees the head of the Feed The Fam collective rhyme over some cool K.Beatz production and execute a killer hook. K.Beatz is also a part of Feed The Fam and “Ridin’” plays as a great example of his fresh take on the hip hop soundscape. At 19 years old Lafre expresses ambition and raps with the conviction of someone who already knows where they’re heading, considering he was initially on the path to a football career. The Minnesotan divides his time between Minneapolis, Houston and Miami and is clearly influenced by the styles of each area, bringing them together for his expansive lyrical efforts during the easy to enjoy, and if you’re lucky, relatable story of “Ridin’”.
“She say she wanna f*** in my ride, so I pulled up in my old school, and the only thing on my mind, is to lay down like I’m ‘sposed to, and I can’t wait I don’t want to, I can beat it up when I drive, so shorty pull them panties to the side. And now I’m ridin’ while she’s ridin’ me”
His most recent project being the 10 tracks of Survival: Face The World, Nikko Lafre is currently working on his debut album MPLS which is penciled in for a summer release. Check out “Ridin’” below.
