Gui Boratto's new remix of Elekfantz' "She Knows" proves his mastery

Gui Boratto is a Brazilian producer/DJ who has been firmly established in music culture. With over a decade of releases, it’s safe to say he is a veteran of electronic music. One of his most prominent works being his remix of “Paradise Circus” by Massive Attack. It was hugely popular, mainly because it was featured in a car commercial, but the production itself is nothing short of astounding.

He never fails to impress, and this new remix of "She Knows" under his own label D.O.C. Records continues this consistent trend. Starting off with panning and echoey bass and percussion, it leads gently into the textured vocals of Elekfantz. The progressive nature of the track provides a thoroughly satisfying amount of variety and dimension. The melodic beat and lyrics synchronize immaculately and is a perfect example of what a remix should provide, versatility and unique execution. It almost feels like a mashup of several remixes, because of all the various breaks. Each new segment blends seamlessly, gently guiding the listener throughout the song. The last break leads us back into the harmonious beat and vocals, ending the track on a perfect note, literally.

If you enjoyed this track and haven’t listened to his older works, you should definitely give his albums Take My Breath Away and Chromophobia a listen.
